This house was designed by OmasC Architecture and is located in Candamo, Spain. The best thing about it is that it actually consists of two buildings that are joined together: one for day time activities, and the other for night time activities. This is such an original idea for home architecture, isn’t it? And if you look at the house more closely, there are other things that will keep you intrigued.
When you look at it from the outside, this house does not look like much—just a simple, ordinary house. You will probably think that the only special thing about it is only the shelteredplatform at the back of the house where you can relax, the spacious grass field on which it stands—dotted here and there by medium-sized trees—and its large parking lot, which is connected to the building by using stone slabs. The walls are all white. There is nothing extraordinary.
But do not be fooled by how it looks from the outside! The interior of the house looks much more appealing with the nice lighting, the warmth that it exudes, the stylish furniture and its arrangement. There are a lot of windows in the house, some of them takes up an entire wall and can function as sliding doors also, so the rooms are never short of natural lighting. The dominant color here is cream, and wood of a light shade is used quite often, like for the flooring and the tables or other surfaces. The interior is contemporary, compact, and quite simple, but the interesting design of some of the furniture adds a beauty to the overall design without having to clutter the rooms with too much decorations. For example, I really like the pair of floor lamps flanking the bookshelf in the living room, and also the dining chairs and the little coffee table beside the chaise longue. The floor lamps look like rectangular paper lanterns, and they gave out warm yellow light that adds a warm atmosphere to the room. The dining chairs look like a mesh of metal wire, and the little coffee table somehow reminds me of a chess piece.Doesn’t it all sound interesting?
