This luxurious apartment was designed by West Chin, an architecture company based in New York. It looks very elegant with its color combination—which is mostly monochrome with white, grey, and black dominating everything—but somehow this dwelling still feels comfortable, welcoming, and homey. There are also a lot of interesting decorations that make it look even more stylish.
The walls are all white, while the flooring is made of cream-colored stone. Dark wood is also used in some parts as accent, and together they create a clean-cut yet stylish and elegant feel in the rooms. The furniture is also of neutral colors—mainly grey or white—except for some decorative pieces that add bits refreshing colors. Flowers are especially prevalent; their bright colors and delicate nature successfully beautify the rooms that would otherwise look quite cold.
This interior shows a rather varied use of materials. Glass, wood, cloth, fur, marble and other stones are all here. The glass is not only used in the floor-to-ceiling panel which takes up an entire wall in the living room, but also in the decorative elements, such as the glass balls dangling from the ceiling above a sitting area. Fur is used for the carpets—the one in the kids’ room look especially fluffy. A large slab of white marble is placed on the carpet in the TV area and is used as coffee table, which is very creative.
Interestingly, some other furniture in the apartments is also low like the coffee table, for example, the furniture in the bedroom. There is a platform bed—which is covered with luxurious-looking fabric—and a floor table similar to the coffee table in the TV area, although this one is not made of marble. The decorations here are fascinating also: on the floor table there is a Buddha statue, and at least three lamps in the shape of glass balls are placed on the floor and the table. The decorations in the other rooms are stylish as well, especially the chandeliers and candle holders, paintings, and statuettes. The chandeliers have unique shapes: the dangling glass balls, one glass chandelier with swirly shapes, and a pair of candle holders shaped like baby heads. The paintings and statuettes often feature woman’s bodies. So what do you think? Wouldn’t you like to have an apartment that is as swanky and stylish as this?
